Milagro

Milagro is a 1 year American Bulldog who was rescued after a severe neglect case in OKC.  When Milagro first came to us he was very skinny and afraid, but that has all changed.  Milagro is now a big beautiful boy who is full of love and energy.  He gets along great with other dogs, pays no attention to cats, and loves every he meets.

If you would like to adopt Milagro please click here for our Adoption Application. His adoption fee is $150 includes neuter/spay, heart worm test, micro chipping and vaccinations..

DRAGONS HAPPY EVER AFTER

Everything started when i went to visit my friend in edmond because she wanted some support adopting a puppy from the shelter. I was just there for her I was not looking for a puppy at all when dragon came crying into my life. This tiny sickly looking puppy was being dragged across the floor by

a man that had no regards for his safety or feeling my mommy instincts kick in,  I rushed over and scooped up the puppy yelling at the man "are you out of your mind he's a baby". I was told that the puppy was being put down there was no care for him.  At that point my heart froze and I knew this

little guy needed me and my home so I asked to take him. I was so happy when we got home so was my fiance until we realized something was very wrong with our new son he wouldn't eat or drink or even seem alive, I then proceeded to call every vet I knew and they told me he was gonna die if I

didn't have enough money to pay for a vet visit.   Well I have 2 children and two other pets so money is very tight. I got very scared then rushed to midnight woofness thinking someone there would know what to do. This is where I came into contact with the Bella Foundation.  They sent me to Neel Veterinarian clinic where I was told my puppy had parvo and hook worms and he would not survive without the proper treatment . I could not afford to have him treated and my heart was breaking. But The Bella Foundation payed for my puppys vet visit and all his treatment so i guess you could say they

grew wings and became my angel and saved me and my puppy's life . I am forever in gratitude for

how they have changed my life. Dragon and I dont know how to repay you for such a miracle but we would love to try by any means neccisary. We would love to volunteer and become a SMALL role in the BIG family that is the Bella Foundation .

Kory
Kory and her new friend Spanky

Hello! Just an update on Kory. We couldn't be more pleased with the recent addition to our family! I chose to bring Kory into our lives at the Midnight Woofness event (which was AMAZING!). She has been an absolute blessing to us. From a rough start as another discarded animal to a spoiled member of our family, this beautiful dog has transformed us in ways even I couldn't have imagined. She's so loving & precious despite her horrific past. She fit in seamlessly with our children (an 11 y/o girl & a 5 y/o boy) & our 9 year old German Shepard mix, Spanky. And despite her hesitation with men, she & my husband have bonded very well. Even my parent's Goldendoodle puppy has enjoyed having a playful friend! We're currently working on training & will be starting classes soon. She enjoys outings with us & loves the attention she receives when people meet her. Thank you so much for all the work you do! I'll keep you posted on her progress. I definitely feel she has a place in this world where she can make a HUGE difference! Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help you all with your mission. These are truly God's creatures & I'd love to give back for all the ways these animals make my life complete.

Sincerely,
Stephanie Davis

Lilo

Please meet 13 week old Lilo.  Lilo was brought into Neel Veterinary Hospital after being found with a broken leg and no one to care for her.  The people who found her could not afford treatment and had decided to put her to sleep.  The amazing staff at Neel's couldn't let that happen and contacted us.  Bella is going to cover Lilo's treatment and then bring her into our foster program.  If you would like to donate to help Lilo feel better please click on the link below.  If you are more comfortable making a donation in person it can be dropped off at Neel Veterinary Hospital, 2700 N MacArthur.

Hello Bella Friends-

This week our fans once again proved how amazing they truly are.  Almost every municipal shelter has to make the decision to euthanize animals because of space constraints and the Bethany Shelter was no exception on Thursday.  Faced with a sudden large population of animals in their facility, several dogs were marked to be put to sleep.  Fortunately for those animals, the staff at the shelter made a last minute plea to Bella for assistance in finding foster homes.  A message went out and the plea was answered by our followers on Facebook.  Eleven dogs were placed into foster in one day from Bethany and no dogs were euthanized.  INCREDIBLE!!

Our fosters families are the unsung heroes of rescue and without the amazingly generous people who make up our foster network we could not save animals.  We know exactly how important our fosters are, what a difference they make, and how important they are to us.

For those who have a passion for animal rescue, fostering is one of the most rewarding things someone can do.  Watching a foster take a scared dog or cat and turn it into a happy pet ready for a new home is one of the best parts of being a rescue.  If you are interested in becoming a foster please visit our webpage and click on Foster Application.  There is absolutely not cost associated with being a foster.  All veterinary bills are covered, food is provided, a crate is provided, and guidance is always available.  The Bella Foundation also grants each foster the final decision on adoption when meeting a potential new family.  We may be that pet's rescue but our fosters are its family and no family should be forced to release their foster animal if they feel the "fit" is not right.  The only thing are fosters are asked to give up is love.
