THE WALMART STORY - PART II

        Last week we shared the story of Walmart's efforts to go green, save diesel fuel and save money that were frustrated by fact that HD5 propane was not available on a national basis. This week, we focus on a small success story in Florida - Long's Air Conditioning, Inc. Long's first installed the propane device, called a Propane Diesel Fumigation System, on two of his large diesel rigs in 2007. He experienced a 25% increase in engine power, and a 30% improvement in mileage. Mr. Long also did his homework about the device: he found that it helped America win World War II. After two years of successful tests, running his rigs with the Fumigation System cleaner and more smoothly than ever before, he plans install the Fumigation System on the rest of his rigs. He even wrote the City of Avon Park, Florida to recommend the system. Imagine the fuel savings, the boost in energy-independence and the improvement to air quality were a fleet of Walmart's size to adopt this system. But for some reason, the major propane distributors would not have it. So, once again, it is the small businessman who must lead the way, in America's battle for energy independence, as urgent today to our liberty as was winning each battle in World War II.
