March 1 Deadline for Harvard Business School Scholarship

Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation is once again offering a sponsorship to Harvard's Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management, a program designed to strengthen the capacity of nonprofit directors to lead their organizations effectively.

The program will take place July 15-21, 2012 in Boston, MA. All applications must be received by Thursday, March 1 to be considered for admission. Nonprofit CEOs of organizations with budgets over $500,000 are eligible to apply.

Entrepreneurial Training for Mid-Career Museum Professionals

institute for cultural entrepreneurshipThe Institute for Cultural Entrepreneurship is offering an immersion program for museum professionals designed to introduce the principles of entrepreneurial thinking aimed at expanding vision and leadership skills. The program is a dynamic four-day experience that immerses participants in the world of nonprofit entrepreneurship training through case studies and exercises that contribute to creative idea generation. The training sessions are designed to serve as catalysts that challenge traditional models of museum work in innovative and creative ways.

 

Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation's Center for Nonprofit Excellence is pleased to continue its mission of helping nonprofits build more secure futures by providing partial scholarships ($400 out of the $500 tuition) for two professionals who are accepted through the Institute.

 

Eligibility:

Applicants will have some level of supervisory capacity of other staff and/or volunteers and are in a position to make organizational change. Applicants also must have been employed in a diversity of urban and rural museums or historic preservation organizations for a minimum of six (6) years.
