First Baptist Snellville: Where Caring Happens...
|
God calls and challenges us through scripture to be people
of prayer. He says His church should be a house of prayer, that we should pray
and not give up, and that when we pray He will show us great and mighty things.
We are to pray for our daily needs, for His kingdom to come, His will to be
done, for spiritual wisdom and direction, and for forgiveness of our sins. We
are commanded to worship and praise Him through prayer. Prayer unleashes the
unlimited power of God individually in our lives and corporately in this
Fellowship. I encourage you to be part of our prayer ministry at FBC.
Sign up to pray in one of our prayer rooms here at the church or you can pray
at home. When you have a prayer request, fill out one of the prayer cards in
our pews and drop it in the offering plate so that our prayer warriors can lift
your request up to the throne of God. You can also send prayer requests through
the church website. Those come to my
office and we fill out cards for those needs and make sure they get to the
prayer rooms. We are all called to unique ministries. Some are
called to serve in preschool, children, media, etc. We are all called to
the ministry of prayer. Pray for our staff, for the lost, and pray for God to
raise up more workers for His harvest. Pray for all of the upcoming events listed in this newsletter. Pray that Jesus will be lifted up and that
all people might be drawn to Him. Our spiritual power lies in God's prayer
promises. Join with me in asking, in seeking, and in knocking, so that we might
be the powerful Fellowship that God desires us to be.
