Happy Friday everyone!
Looks like it is going to be a great weekend with beautiful weather and lots of fun things to do outside! Which is good for me since I'll be watching Auburn play LSU live on Saturday and my 14 year old play baseball in Roswell on Sunday!
Are you wondering why everything is purple on this email today? Well, today is Alzheimer's Action Day and I'm showing my support by " going purple". I don't own a single purple shirt so I'm making this email purple in honor of my Granddaddy Metts who is fighting Alzheimer's Disease right now and for my sweet Mama who is by his side almost every day watching this terrible disease take over her Father's mind. If you like the Aha! Connection and have a few dollars to spare feel free to "go purple" today and send some " green " to Alzheimer's Research. You can donate $5 or more by clicking the button below. I'm taking all the $ earned from this morning's garAHA!ge sale and sending it to Alzheimer's Research right now!
Lots of events and announcements posted by YOU (The fabulous Aha! Subscribers) are detailed below. Anyone can submit a community news/event listing for free by using this link:
Please remember to give me at least one week's notice to approve and publish! Most community news items are consolidated and published in a Friday afternoon email.
Have a great weekend!

This week, show your support of the fight against Alzheimer's disease by going purple! Friday is Alzheimer's Action Day, an opportunity to support the Alzheimer's Association® and help raise awareness of this devastating disease during World Alzheimer's Month.
On Sept. 21, wear purple, the color of the Alzheimer's movement, to honor the more than 5 million Americans living with Alzheimer's disease and the millions more who care for them. Here are some ways you can go purple and take action:

TROOP 25406 SILVER AWARD PROJECT
Imagine having to flee your house in the middle of the night, because soldiers are coming to capture you. Imagine packing a few belongings and leaving everything you built up behind. Imagine walking for hours in the sun, rain, without water and food. Imagine ending up in a refugee camp with thousands who went through the same ordeal. Imagine living in makeshift tents, with poor sanitation, little food and education. Imagine waiting to start a new life, waiting for months, sometimes years. Imagine finally having a chance to start a new life in a new country. Imagine that in that country, people are there to welcome you and help you off to a good start . . .
Girl Scout Troop 25406 is adopting a refugee family for their silver award. We will furnish Read More »
