GGCN Header
Dear Co-Laborer in Christ:
In May 2010, over 1000 delegates representing mission agencies from around the world gathered in Tokyo to ask "What is it going to take to see a disciple-making movement among every people in our generation?"  The Global Great Commission Network - Carrying Tokyo 2010 Forward is a follow-up to Tokyo 2010 with a goal to give leadership to this vision of assessing, promoting and resourcing disciple-making movements among every nation, tribe, people and language.  This is the first general Global Great Commission Network (GGCN) newsletter to the agencies, associations, churches, networks, and ministries that we desire to serve in a common vision to see every people group reached and in the process of being discipled in this generation.

For more information, please see Introducing the Global Great Commission Network in the May-June 2012 issue of Mission Frontiers and follow GGCN development at the network's website:  www.ggcn.org.  The following articles also suggest specific actions that you can take to identify with the vision and purpose of the Global Great Commission Network.

Sign the  Tokyo Declaration
SignDeclaration One of the significant outcomes of Tokyo 2010 was the Tokyo Declaration, a joint effort that was signed at the consultation by 30 global, regional, and national mission structures that were in attendance.  Now you and/or your organization are invited to make the same commitment, as follows

I pledge myself and/or my organization to the Tokyo 2010 Declaration and specifically to cooperate with one another, and all others of like faith, with the singular goal of "making disciples of every people in our generation.

The Global Great Commission Network exists to stimulate worldwide mission efforts that promote the making of disciples of every people in our generation.  We invite you to pledge with co-workers from around the world to this common task.  Signing the declaration does not commit you to membership or any other participation in the Global Great Commission Network.  It's simply your pledge to work together on our common goal.

Join with Tokyo 2010 delegates and many others around the world by adding your own pledge.  Click the "Sign the Tokyo 2010 Declaration" icon at  www.ggcn.org to make a commitment for your organization or for you personally.

Opportunities for Global Great Commission Network Participation
When you visit the GGCN web site, you will find several projects are in the development stage.   Here's a list of some ways you can connect and be part of our common efforts:

Discipleship Resources and Discipleship Survey
An initial list of Discipleship Resources can be found at www.ggcn.org/discipleship  Also see work that is being done to develop a Discipleship Survey.  We encourage your discipleship resource suggestions and other input at discipleship@ggcn.org.

Networking Tools

Two online networking tools in the development stage, and experienced beta testers and other power users are needed to bring these tools online.  See www.ggcn.org for the GC Network and Unreached Peoples menu options.  If you have social networking skills or unreached peoples interest and research expertise, we want to hear from you at info@ggcn.org.

Prayer Networks, Mission Resources, and Mission News and Events

We want to promote Prayer Networks, Mission Resources, and Mission News and Events from around the world (see the menu tabs at ggcn.org).  Do you know of prayer networks or prayer resources that can be listed and featured?  How about significant mission resources including publications, blogs, web pages, service ministries, and much more that should be featured? Are there sources of mission News and Events in your geographic or ministry area that would encourage and bless others.  Pass those along or volunteer to coordinate information from your part of the world.  Let us hear from you at info@ggcn.org.

We look forward to hearing from you.  Let us know how you can help and keep an eye on ggcn.org for further developments.
We invite you to participate in the Global Great Commission Network and utilize the resources that are being developed at no cost and in any way that will serve you and your ministry.  Let us know your questions and we'll do our best to answer.  And look forward to further updates as some of the services under development come online.

In His Love,
Coordinating Team
