Introducing: Two New Small Groups!
Animal Ministry Group: There will be an informational gathering in Room 3 this morning (approx. 10:45 am). Everyone is invited to learn about the exciting and thoughtful things that this new small group will be doing and providing for our parish. This group will provide support, education, outreach and activities to parishioners who want to deepen their compassionate relationships to animals and humans. For more information please email Eileen Harrington at eileenmharrington@hotmail.com, or Lauren Read at itzlaurenr@aol.com.
Theatre-Goers Group: If you like to go to the theater, but don't like to go alone, come join a fellow group of enthusiastic theatergoers. The Theater-Goers Group is a social group who enjoy attending the theater and who like to receive discounts, where available, on tickets for going as a group to events at the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts or other local theater venues. Any one of our members can set up a theater date. One of our group members, Lynn Perry Garland, set up our latest venture, where we went to see Jesus Christ Superstar at the Santa Rosa JC.. We keep in touch by email. If you are interested in joining us for future events or want more info, contact Maggie Wager at maggiew@wellsfargocenterarts.org.
The Evening Women's Group will meet on Tuesday, March 15, at 7 pm, at the home of Amy Nykamp. All women are welcome to join us. We are a supportive group providing a place to share our lives and our spiritual journeys with each other, building friendships as we go. If you have any questions, please contact Donna Wiuff at (707) 837-8768.
What Are Small Groups? A Small Group is simply a group of people who gather on a regular basis for friendship, conversation, and support. We have Small Groups covering a variety of different topics and new groups forming all the time, looking for people just like you! Check out the Small Groups table in Farlander Hall and if you would like more information, check out our Website. If you are interested in participating in or starting a small group, please call or email Mitch Garcia (707-703-4162, smallgroups@incarnation-sr.org).
Lenten Series & Supper!
This Lent, we are continuing our annual tradition of the Wed night supper and Lenten Series. Every Wed night beginning March 16, we'll feast on simple fare and then gather in the sanctuary for lively conversation. This year, Fr. Matt will lead us thru a workshop-style series called "The Gospel According to... You!" We'll explore the basic, most challenging questions of faith: the existence of God, the problem of authority, other religions, the afterlife - to name a few. We'll mix it up with video clips, small group discussions, and journaling. This series will help you formulate your own "gospel" - how the good news of Christ comes alive in your own life. This series will be challenging and fun - but don't come if you don't like tough questions! Supper begins at 6 and discussion begins at 7. You can learn more about this exciting series by visiting our Lenten webpage. Go to the Incarnation website and then click on Christian Ed, then click on Adult Education and look for the Lenten Series and click there to go to the page.
Lenten Supper Sign-Up: There are sign-up sheets on the Small Group table in Farlander Hall for the Lenten Supper/Series. Please take a moment and add yourself to the list so we can get an accurate count of how many people we can expect (we want to make sure we have enough to eat)!
Do you like to quilt, sew, knit, crochet, or glue things together? We are looking for people who like to be creative and have fun. You are invited to an informational meeting on Saturday, March 19 at 10 am in Room 3. We will be serving coffee, tea, and nibbles along with fellowship and community. So come on by and see what's up, and discover how you can your gifts of creativity can be used to support our church! This is a project of the Guild of the Incarnation.
Lenten Meditations booklet. Your Adult Spiritual Formation team is offering you a wonderful booklet for Lent filled with scriptures and reflections for our 40-day journey together. The commission considers and recommends to the vestry ways in which our resources can be best employed, with the objective to make a positive Christian impact on the world around us.
