We will be taking a collection for the Bishop's Discretionary Fund today. You may put your cash or check in the marked envelope, found in your bulletin. Every year when the Bishop
comes, we take a special collection for his Discretionary Fund, which he uses to help those in need. Thank you for your participation and generosity! (If you cannot attend Church this Sunday but would like to donate, please send your money to the Church Office, clearly marked for the Bishop's Discretionary Fund.)
HEAVENLY TREASURES IS "QUITE POSSIBLY THE LEAST EXPENSIVE THRIFT STORE IN TOWN" Says who? Says the Press Democrat! Check out the article on Halloween Thrifting in Sunday's Sonoma Living section. We're doing things right, since this is the second time in a year we've been mentioned in a PD article. Come on in and experience the joys of thrift store shopping. Your purchases help support The Living Room and other social service organizations. If you're on Facebook, add "Heavenly Treasures Thrift and Gift" and we'll send you a coupon for 25% off your next purchase. Thanks for adding us; your simple action will help spread the word about the store and support our mission.
Come join the Inquirers & Seekers Class for three remaining sessions: October 17 (10:30am-12pm), October 24 (10:30a,-12pm), and October 31 (12:30-2pm). This is a great class for those new to our church, for seekers, for the curious, for those who think they might want to join the church, and even for those who definitely plan to join the church. It's a place to safely explore your faith journey, as well as to connect with others who are new to Incarnation. Please register for the class by filling out the signup sheet in Farlander, calling the church office at 579-2604, or sending an email to smallgroups@incarnation-sr.org. (Note: For those wishing to be confirmed, this course serves as partial preparation for confirmation. Those wishing to be confirmed should contact the office for more information.)
Contrary to what you have previously heard, today will not be our Commitment Sunday. Due to Fr. Matt's absence, we have postponed it until next Sunday, the 24th. On that day pledge cards will be distributed at each service, and you will be asked to complete your pledge at that time so the completed cards can then be collected by the ushers. For those of you who do not wish to complete your pledge during the service or will not be able to attend on the 24th, you can submit you pledge anytime between now and the October 31st. Pledge cards were available in Farlander Hall beginning last Sunday. Just drop your completed pledge card in the collection basket (place it in a sealed envelope for privacy and mark the envelope with the word "pledge"), drop it off at the church office, or mail it to the church to the attention of John Nykamp. Remember, if you currently are having your pledge automatically charged to your credit card or bank account, we will not continue to do so next year unless you send us confirmation that you wish us to continue to do so along with the amount. Finally, if none of this works for you, just send us an email to jmn@incarnation-sr.org. Remember to include your name, the amount of your pledge, and whether you will be paying annually, monthly or weekly. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Let's all work together to have a great pledge campaign!

Pregnant with Possibility: Poetry, Prayer and Mandalas
Exploring the Sacred Circle
Friday, December 3 to Sunday, December 5, 2010
Fee: $240 Double Occ./$290 Single Occ., per person, including lodging, meals and materials. Advent is a time of sacred circle when we prepare to welcome the gift of new life. We'll enter this sacred time through the reading of poetry and the making of mandalas; we will worship in chant, prayer and silence. We'll consider how the Spirit spirals through the circles of our own lives. You don't need to be an artist or a poet to explore the spirit in the visual, the spoken, and the unspoken. The retreat will include time for rest and relaxation, and time to follow your own path within the sacred circle. We'll be staying at the Ranch House and enjoying the beautiful setting and wonderful cuisine of The Bishop's Ranch. Retreat Leaders: Lisa Thorpe, Ranch Resident Artist and Rev. Patricia Moore, Chaplain. For registration visit www.bishopsranch.org or contact Mark at 707-433-2440, ext 102.
