Cantaimo Fall Concert Tonight!  If you love choral music this one's for you ... the 17-member choral ensemble, Cantiamo, directed by Carol Menke, will present an a cappella concert tonight at 7:00 p.m. right here at the Church of the Incarnation. Singing works spanning from the Renaissance to the present day including William Byrd, Charles V. Stanford, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Eric Whitacre, and more! You'll hear folk songs, madrigals, sacred motets, and spirituals ...  something for everyone! Tickets can be purchased at the door or this morning during the coffee hours from Carol Menke.

Next Sunday, October 17th is Pledge SundayPledge cards will be distributed at each service, and you will be asked to complete your pledge at that time so the completed cards can then be collected by the ushers.  For those of you who do not wish to complete your pledge during the service or will not be able to attend on the 17th, you can submit you pledge anytime between now and the October 31st. Pledge cards are available in Farlander Hall beginning today. Just drop your completed pledge card in the collection basket (place it in a sealed envelope for privacy and mark the envelope with the word "pledge"), or you can drop it off at the church office, or mail it to the church to the attention of John Nykamp. Remember, if you currently are having your pledge automatically charged to your credit card or bank account, we will not continue to do so next year unless you send us confirmation that wish us to continue to do so along with the amount. Finally, if none of this works for you, just send an email to jmn@incarnation-sr.org. Remember to include your name, the amount of your pledge and whether you will be paying annually, monthly or weekly. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Let's all work together to have a great pledge campaign!

Brown Bagging It - Do you have some extra brown paper grocery bags?  Heavenly Treasures uses them to bag up customers' purchases, and of course for the $5 bag sales! We're running low on paper grocery bags and would really appreciate any you can send our way. There will be marked containers in Farlander Hall in which you can deposit your bags. Thank you!

Volunteer Drivers Needed! We try to offer the service of driving people to doctor's appointments, church, other special church events, etc. But to do that, we need some more drivers! If you have some extra time on your hands and might be willing to help out, or if you are coming here anyway and would be willing to give someone a ride occasionally, call La Velle Seely (707-528-2700).

ALL ATWITTER ABOUT FACEBOOK! Heavenly Treasures has moved into the 21st century -- we have a Facebook page! If you're on Facebook too, help us promote the store and our mission by adding "Heavenly Treasures Thrift and Gift." We'll even send you a coupon good for 25% off your next purchase, with our thanks.

The Seasonal Flu Vaccine is available now! While there are many different flu viruses, the flu vaccine protects against the three viruses that research suggests will be most common; the 2010-2011 flu vaccine will protect against an influenza A H3N2 virus, an influenza B virus and the 2009 H1N1 virus that caused so much illness last season. Everyone 6 months of age and older should get vaccinated against the flu. Children younger than 6 months are at high risk of serious flu illness, but are too young to be vaccinated. People who care for them should be vaccinated instead.

Words to Ponder:

It is not a question of whether you "have what it takes,"

but of whether you take the gifts you have -- they are plenteous --

and share them with all the world.
