Heavenly Treasures Thrift and Gift Store is open today after all
services. Come over and
discover YOUR treasures -- we have fabulous designer clothes, shoes, and
handbags for ridiculously low prices. You'll look so great that no one
will ever know how little you spent. There's linen, silk, cashmere, wool,
leather, designer shoes...the list just goes on and on. Not only do
we have the best gently used items around, but we also have lots of brand new
things! What other thrift store has new silk scarves and shawls
from India, along with designer inspired sunglasses at rock bottom
prices? These items are affordable and perfect for gifting, or perhaps
just a little luxury for yourself. Come see us after services (we're just
two doors north on Mendocino Avenue) and stretch your dollars until they
scream! The Evening Women's Group will meet on
Tuesday, July 20 at 7 pm at the home of Marti Kennedy. All
women are welcome to join us. We are a
supportive group providing a place to share our lives and our spiritual
journeys with each other, building friendships as we go. If you have any
questions, please contact Donna Wiuff at (707) 837-8768. CHANGE TO LAST DAY OF
PHOTOGRAPHY! We had to change
our last day of photography with Olan Mills to Thursday, July 22. Hopefully more people can make this new
date! We need enough families to
participate for this to work. If you haven't yet had your free photo session
please call Amy Nykamp at 707-586-8916 or email family@nykamp.us. Remember,
everyone photographed gets a free 8x10 of their choice, and a free directory. Next Saturday, July 24 is our next "Odd Job Saturday
Work Day." There are jobs we
have started, and others that we need to get started on. We need to
continue work on scraping and painting Heavenly Treasures
Building. Scraping and painting the Iron Fencing is
continuing. Gutters need cleaning, and we still have plenty of yard maintenance
to do. Bring your own tools if you can, and we'll see you there from 8:00
AM until 12:00 noon. Matthew Stedinger's Goodbye Party ~ Come one, come all to Matthew's Goodbye BBQ Potluck
Party. He will be leaving Sonoma County to go to Ithaca, in upstate New York,
for a year-long Software Development position. The party is Sunday, July 25 in
Farlander Hall and the courtyard, from 1 to 4 pm. Please RSVP to 707-477-7248.
Hope to see you there! Also... Since Matthew is leaving, he
will be selling his car. It is a
Maroon 1998 Subaru Legacy Outback. It is in pretty good condition. Please
contact him at 707-477-7248 if you're interested. Come to a Women's Retreat! The retreat focus is "Discovering Your Spiritual
Gifts." The weekend is intended to provide time for personal prayer and
reflection, worship, small group lectio divina, music, art and fellowship
around that theme. The cost is 170.00 for 2 nights and 4 meals. We begin
at 7 pm after dinner and leave before lunch on Sunday. The dates are Aug.
6-8. Registration can be done over the phone by calling the Cathedral
Bookshop. (916-442-9194). Also, for more info, call Martha Peterson
(838-4208). We Need Your
Pictures! In order to put together our pictorial
directory we need your photos depicting fun social events, parish life, worship
services, music, youth activities, outreach efforts, Numina, or St. Andrews in
the Redwoods. Basically anything church
related since 2008 (the more recent the better). Please email your photos to Linelle@sonic.net, or drop the
prints off at the Welcome Center (they will be returned to you). Thank you for your help! The Incarnation Cares Pastoral Care Team is looking for someone interested in learning about
and sharing current information about prescription financial aid programs with
members of our congregation. It's hard to navigate through the multiple sources
of aid available to people who may have entered "the doughnut hole" or have
inadequate insurance coverage. If you have knowledge in this area, please
contact Pastor Gail (707-579-2604 ext. 103 or pastorgail@incarnation-sr.org)
or Jan Saucer (707-838-2899). Thank you!
