Special Report: Earthquake

The devastating earthquake in Haiti has us all concerned. Episcopal Relief and Development has set-up a fund for emergency relief. You can be assured that your donation will go directly to Haiti relief through this charity.

The earthquake reminds us of the importance of being prepared here in Sonoma County.  Local authorities say that a major quake along the Rogers Creek fault is not a matter of "if" but "when."  To see a map of where the shaking would be most violent, go to this website:

We are told not to depend on government relief - with Hwy 101 knocked out and the local airport damaged, it could take many days for significant relief to arrive.  Here are some resources for how to respond during and after an earthquake, and what to have on hand:
