2010 Pledge Update: As of
the end of November we've received $272,000 in pledges for 2010. This is only
63% of our $430,000 goal needed to balance the budget for 2010. We've heard
from much less than half of our total church membership and only 60% of the
people who normally pledge. Hearing from all of our church members in early
December will allow us to finalize next year's budget. Thank you to those
people who have already turned in your pledge. Everyone here can experience the
joy of pledging. Please offer what you're able to - your gift will help support
our wonderful church we all feel grateful to belong to. If you haven't turned
in your pledge card yet, will you please do so this week? There are pledge
cards in Farlander Hall and at the church doors. Or you may telephone Claire in
the church office Monday through Friday at 579-2604 x104 or email John Nykamp
anytime at
jmn@incarnation-sr.org. Thank you.
From the Women's Guild:
Thank
you to Muriel Morrow and Bonnie Boucher for the Holiday Bazaar raffle items,
they were a big hit. The winners of the drawings were Sharon Cronan, who won
the trip to Pacific Palisades and Jeanette Landin who won the Christmas tree
skirt & stocking! Thanks to all for buying tickets.
New Small Group: Centering Prayer! We now offer a Centering Prayer Gathering that meets
every Monday from 5:15-6:15 pm in the Clergy Conference Room. Centering Prayer
is a technique of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of
contemplative prayer, prayer in which we experience God's presence within us.
This practice of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to
foster that relationship. All are welcome!
Via Media: It's that time! The Via Media sessions will be starting January 5th (Tuesday at 6:30
