Service at Armstrong Woods! At 11 am next Sunday, August 9th, we'll have our Annual All-Parish Service at Armstrong Woods, where we join with the St. Andrew's members in worship. We'll have a lovely outside service with Eucharist, then a picnic - please bring a dish to share. All are invited to join us!

If you need a ride or can give a ride to someone else, please call or email Claire in the Church Office (Claire@incarnation-sr.org).
Please note that Services here at church that morning will continue: 8 am as usual (Traditional with Eucharist), 10 am Morning Prayer (NO Eucharist). Our normal 8 and 10 services with Eucharist will resume on Sunday, August 16th.
From the Vestry: As reported last month, the Vestry has been working on Core Values (What We Belive), Vision (Who We Are), and Mission (What We Do) statements. In addition to being important strategic planning tools, these documents attempt to answer the questions posed by Fr. Matt during his Lenten Series.
We have now completed a draft version of each of these documents, and we are presenting them to the congregation for review and discussion. Copies will be available for you to pick up today in Farlander Hall on the Welcome Table.
The Vestry asks that all parishioners pick up a copy, review it prayerfully, and be prepared to give your comments and feed back to the Vestry. Discussions will be held during small group meetings, and parish forums will be held after each service on August 16th and 23rd. Please feel free to asks questions of the Vestry at any time. Thank you.
Hiking Group: Mark your calendar for Aug. 8th, that's when the Hiking Group will be setting off another walk! This time the trail will be along Santa Rosa Creek from Fulton Road to Willowside Road. It's a mostly flat trail that has views of vineyards and the creek. It's about a little more than 2 hours roundtrip. Again, we will meet at the church parking lot at 8:30 am on Saturday, August 8th, to arrange carpools and head towards the trailhead. All are invited to join us. If you have any questions please contact Fernando Dizon at fdizon@gmail.com or call him at (707) 477-1513.

Summer's Ending: A Quiet Day at the Ranch with Evensong sung by the Grace Cathedral Boy's Choir. August 22nd, 9 am to 8:30 pm. Refresh your spirit-Come to Bishop's Ranch in Healdsburg for a Day of Quiet with time for refreshment, worship, settling in and settling down, a time to reflect and to pray. Come for the day or for the weekend to the Kay Qvale Ranch House.
This Quiet Day was designed with church school teachers in mind. But we offer it to all who seek to enjoy an oasis of quiet after the activity of summer, to those who long to sink more deeply into silence, to those who seek to ground themselves before picking up the responsibilities and rhythms of fall. There will be times of introduction to prayer of various forms, times to practice together, and worship together. There will be opportunity for reflection and time to simply be.
To take full advantage of the Quiet Day you may choose to stay for the weekend (Friday and Saturday nights), or to stay over the night of the 22nd. You may also come for just the Quiet Day. Make your reservation soon as space is limited. See the brochures on the Welcome Table in Farlander Hall for more information.
Movie Group: On August 29th Small Groups will kick off the Movie Groups by hosting a Movie Night in Farlander Hall. Those of you who signed up for a Movie Group will be contacted this week with more information! More information about Movie Night will follow in the upcoming weeks.
Kitchen news Our oven burners are now all on a pilot light, matches are no longer required to light the burners. Hooray! Please keep this in mind, then, when you next use the kitchen.
