16th Annual Statewide Family Violence Conference
September 12-14, 2010
Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center
Peachtree City, GA
Dear Allies,
We are excited to announce that Georgia's only statewide family violence conference is back! We asked you what changes we should make this year, and you gave us great feedback. We listened to you, and as a result we are pleased to announce some of the most exciting features of our 2010 conference:
- Keynotes by leading, innovative national experts: Judge Susan Carbon, Director of the U.S. Office on Violence Against Women and Evan Stark, Professor and Author of Coercive Control
- Reduced registration rates
- Lots of content in a more condensed conference format: We'll go from 11:30am-7:15pm on Monday, and 7:30am-3:15pm on Tuesday - please plan accordingly!
- A special Pre-Conference FVIP Institute on Monday morning for FVIP providers and victim liaisons, featuring Jeremy NeVilles-Sorell, Co-Director of Duluth's Mending the Sacred Hoop
- A not-to-be-missed special plenary session which will take an entertaining, thought-provoking look back at the domestic violence movement in Georgia: where we've been and where we're going
- A slate of brand-new workshops on best practices for addressing domestic violence
- Opportunities for networking with colleagues from around the state
This year's theme is No More "Either/Or":
Bridging Community and System Responses to Domestic Violence
