A Juried Exhibition of Art by Women
Sponsored by the Koehnline Museum of Art and theWomen's and Gender Studies Program at Oakton Community College.
This year's annual collaboration between theWomen's and Gender Studies Program and the Koehnline Museum challenges presenters to engage with and respond to the work of an influential woman artist. Oakton Community College invites women artists of all media to submit a single work that honors, critiques, or expands upon the techniques and/or content of a groundbreaking female "master" of either the past or the present.

When: The exhibit runs October 6 - 28, 2011. A public reception will be held Thursday, October 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. Artists are encouraged to attend this special event and discuss their work with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Who: Artists who self-identify as women are invited to submit one work for consideration. Submissions must be from professional artists 18 years of age or older.
Jury/Entry Fee: No entry fee.
Catalog: A catalog of the exhibition will be produced.
Submission of Work: Each artist may submit one original work for consideration.Work should relate to the theme of "call and response." Entries must arrive by August 26, 2011

2012 National Women's Caucus for Art - Call for Art! "Momentum" - Contemporary Women's Art. Commemorating 40 years of the Women's Caucus for Art, Momentum presents the art and ideas of intergenerational contemporary women artists.
About the Exhibition: "Momentum" is part of WCA's Momentum: 40 Years of WCA Conference that takes place from February 22-25, 2012 in Los Angeles. The Women's Caucus for Art Conference is held in conjunction with the College Art Association (CAA) Conference. WCA is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and an affiliate society of CAA.

Illinois Artisans Program, Illinois State Museum Illinois artists are invited to submit applications to the Illinois Artisans Program, Illinois State Museum. All areas of arts and crafts, including folk, traditional, contemporary, ethnic and country, as well as fine art forms are sought. Deadlines are October 12th and March 28th every year.
