A note from the editor
Hello CWCA. I want to apologize for my lack of being on top of communications. My mother is very ill. I am taking upaid time off from work to meet the needs of my mom.

I will put out a news letter just prior to each meeting, but I need to count on all of you to post your info and to check the blog for new info.

BOARD/ CONFERENCE DEADLINES

THURSDAY JUNE 30 - DEADLINE for the $119 rate for the Moonrise Hotel.
To make a reservation call 314-721-1111. WCA has reserved a block of
rooms at the Moonrise Hotel, 6177 Delmar Blvd. in "The Loop," at $119
a night, available three days before and after the conference (call:
314-721-1111 for reservations, with the code Women's Caucus for Art).
The rate includes complimentary self-parking, access to the business
and fitness center, and high-speed Internet access. The hotel is
across the street from the Regional Arts Commission where the Art &
Social Justice Conference, the WCA open forum, and WCA Board meeting
will be held. Spaces are limited so reserve your room today! We will
also have a few in-home stays available.

THURSDAY JUNE 30- Deadline for early bird registration for the
Conference. Registration for the conference and bus tour is ONLY
through eventbrite  at http://wcaartsocialjusticeconference.eventbrite.com/
  The conference fee is $35 and $25 for students and includes lunch.
The fee for the conference will go up to $45 after June 30.

WCA welcoming nominations for WCA's next President Elect.
The President Elect will serve a 6-year term on the Board. The term begins with President Elect (2012-13), then President (2014-2015) and finally, Past President (2016-2017). WCA is looking for nominees with outstanding leadership qualities, prior administrative experience and national or local board experience.

Chris Drew needs the help of the artists' community.

If any of you can help with a small donation, it would be appreciated.  Not only is he facing a stiff jail sentence because he was showing his art without a license and then he attempted to audio tape his arrest, which is a felony in Illinois!  He also was diagnosed with cancer.
