Each plate costs $35; half of that cost will come back to USTA TN to provide funds which will promote tennis programs in your community.

These license plates will be available for purchase AFTER there are 1,000 pre-sales of plates in the state of Tennessee.

March 2012

It's almost here!  Yes, the 2012 Spring USTA League Season begins this week.  And with a record number of teams registered to play, we will certainly have our match schedules filled to the brim. Speaking of schedules, the USTA Spring League schedules will be released very soon, so check tennislink for updates.

Spring League State Championships
Volunteers Needed

Mayor Welcome As most of you know, Memphis will again be host to the 2012 Spring League State Championship tournaments to be held over two weekends in June.  In order to make this a successful venture for our city, we will need the help of volunteers to assist in various aspects of running these tournaments.  From stuffing goody bags, to transporting supplies between sites, there will be plenty of opportunity for you to be a part of this great event.

This year we're engaging more volunteers in the planning stages in addition to tournament weekends to help ensure the tournaments are representative of Memphis tennis players.  If you're interested in volunteering click the link below.  Be sure to notate which committee(s) you have interest in, and yes, if you have interest in more than one, participation in multiple committees is appreciated. Thanks so much for your commitment to growing Memphis tennis.

2012 USTA League Mixed Doubles

 Mixed pic 2

If you haven't already heard, there will be some changes to the 2012 Mixed Doubles season.  The adult, senior, and super senior mixed leagues will begin June 1 and will be played regular league style with mostly Saturday and/or Sunday matches. Some matches will be held on weeknights in order to have ample court availability during the two (2) State Championships that Memphis will host in June. All teams will need to declare a home court.

The leagues will conclude with tournament style play July 19-22 at the Dunavant-Wellford Tennis Center at Memphis University School and Hutchison School.

There will be an important Captain's Meeting that will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012, at the Collierville Parks & Recreation meeting room located at 440 W. Powell Road, Collierville. Items of discussion include the new mixed rules & regulations, the Team Management feature on TennisLink, and the new Tennessee Tennis license plate
