Sponsor Spotlight: M & B Products
| |
M&B products Mini-Sip pouches are a great way to reduce the size of the carbon footprint at your schools. They are also recycleable. The product is more cost effective than a standard Carton or Plastic Cup and the district can potentially save $$$ on their refuse removal, and the amount of can liners they use each day because of the reduction in garbage. M&B Products is also the only company in the country in this category that volunteers to do continuous USDA inspection.
Check out this brochure on Mini-Sip pouches!

Student Ambassador Officer Spotlight
| |
Meet Leigh, our Green Schools Communications Officer
My name is Leigh and I am a Junior at Nipmuc Regional High School in Upton, MA. As the Green Schools Student Ambassador Communication Officer I help both the ambassadors and board members of Green Schools stay connected through various sources of media. I organize posts and ideas contributed by other Green Schools members and update them onto several websites. Including technology into the Green Schools program allows all associates to remain virtually linked and updated on the most recent and upcoming ideas, events, and notices of the ambassadors.
At my high school, I participate in the Environmental Club and Impact Team, both organize to help the community and school in various ways. I work with the administration of the entire school district to try and incorporate eco-friendly practices into the elementary, middle, and high schools. Currently, I am working getting solar panels installed on at least my high school and encouraging the purchasing of more produce from local farms and compostable cafeteria utensils and trays. Being a student ambassador gives you the chance, and the responsibility, to change your community and school in ways that better the environment of our delicate Earth.
