Metech Recycling

Metech Recycling is the first e-Steward certified electronics waste recycling company in the state of Massachusetts. This means that our third party auditors, the Basel Action Network (BAN), make sure we do not use prison labor, nothing goes to landfill, and nothing is shipped overseas. We are dedicated and passionate about our environment!

With the help of the student ambassadors, Metech Recycling will schedule an electronics collection event on a specific day, either during the school day or on the weekend. We will design electronic flyers for student ambassadors to distribute and get community participation for the event. Flyers include a recycling price list and may be customized for your collection event. On the day of the event, Metech Recycling will provide a truck driver and a helper to assist with the lifting of heavy electronics. All we need from our ambassadors is to spread the word and collect the money!

Presidential Innovation Award for Environmental Educators

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan to Keynote the 2nd Annual Green Schools National Conference

The Green Schools National Network is excited to announce that U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan is confirmed as a keynote speaker at the 2nd annual Green Schools National Conference on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 during the morning general session.

Please join Secretary Duncan for this landmark appearance by a U.S. Secretary of Education to congratulate and thank him for his leadership in recently establishing the U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools Award program.
