Lexie received the WID Young Volunteer Award due to her work over the past two years with Green Schools & The Mansfield Public Schools. WID has an established tradition of recognizing and celebrating philanthropy of all kinds and at all levels. Honoring young people who embrace the notion of giving back to society and making their communities a better place is a value that WID truly embraces. Young Volunteer Award, WID recognizes young people who have stepped forward as extraordinary volunteers and fundraisers for nonprofit organizations and who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, creativity and effort either through volunteer service or raising funds. |
Green Schools Executive Director Robin Organ Receives Prestigious National Honor

Green Schools Executive Director, Robin Organ received the President's Volunteer Service Award in recognition of sustained volunteer service.
This AWARD is given to individuals who have completed 4,000 or more volunteer service hours over the course of their lifetime and is issued by the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation, a group created by President George W. Bush to recognize the valuable contributions volunteers make to our Nation.
Chaired by two-time Super Bowl Champion Darrell Green, with former U.S. Senators Bob Dole and John Glenn as honorary co-chairs, the Council is composed of leaders in government, media, education, entertainment, business, nonprofit and volunteer service organizations, in addition to individual community volunteers.
