Green Schools Earns Grant Awards |
Nickelodeon's Big Green Grants Program is a unique funding initiative that teams up kids and adults to help bring resources to their community. Green Schools received a $2,500 one-time grant to run our third annual Environmental Education Summit & Community Fair entitled Earth Day: A 40 Year Celebration!
This event was held at Woburn Memorial High School, a certified Green School. The purpose of the day is to bring together students and teachers from schools across New England as well as their environmental / green clubs to learn about, discuss, and exchange ideas on related topics such as health and wellness, conservation, clean energy, the environment, and climate change. This event was a huge success with approximately 1,500 in attendance.
Thanks Nickelodeon! This was a huge Green Help!
