Please note there has been an important change to the date for our Green Difference Awards + Eco Fashion Fundraising Event. The new date is Thursday May 27 (changed from May 29) at 6:30 p.m. at the Genzyme Center in Cambridge, MA. There's a full moon that night, so join us for a great night of fun and learning!
The Eco Fashion Show will feature sustainable garments designed by students.

| Last Chance to Sign Up For The Green Schools Summit and Community Fair on April 16 |
We're hosting our Third Annual Green Schools Summit and Community Fair at Woburn Memorial High School, a certified Green School. This event is ideal for middle school and high school students and teachers, or anyone who is interested in environmental education. Registration is required.
Date:April 16 Time:10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Community Fair (open to the public) Time:10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Green Schools Summit (registration required) Location:Woburn Memorial High School, 88 Montvale Ave., Woburn, MA.

| Earth Day Turns 40 On April 22. How Will You Celebrate? |
Forty years after the first Earth Day, the world is in greater peril than ever. While climate change is the greatest challenge of our time, it also presents the greatest opportunity - an unprecedented opportunity to build a healthy, prosperous, clean energy economy now and for the future.
Join Green Schools at the Boston Children's Museum on Thursday, April 22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. as we celebrate Earth Day. Activities will include:
- Fishing in the Fort Point Channel with Save the Harbor/ Save the Bay
- An appearance by Smokey the Bear (and seedlings to take home)
- Performances by Green Schools students
- A visit and activities with Green Girl
- Activities with Roots and Shoots New England, REI, Appalachian Mountain Club, Simmons College/ Malden High School, Mt. Washington Observatory, and more.

| National Healthy Schools Day On April 26 |
 Did you know that 25% of the chemicals in the cleaning products used in schools are toxic and contribute to poor indoor air quality, smog, cancer, asthma, and other diseases? National Healthy Schools Day is an important day for everyone to celebrate and promote healthy and green school environments for all children. The 2010 campaign will focus on using certified green cleaning products that help reduce pollutants from indoor air. Go to National Healthy Schools Day to get your school involved. |

Learn about the root cause and treatment of diseases and how to restore the body's natural balance. This includes your physical, biochemical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual needs. Presented by medical professionals who specialize in environmental wellness at Visions Medical Center in Wellesley, Mass.

A Celebration of Earth Day & Arbor Day Join other families and environmental enthusiasts for a fun-filled event featuring live music, crafts, and other activities. This event usually attracts 500-1,000 attendees. The first 100 attendees will receive a FREE Planter kit from the MWRA.

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Location: Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary, Norfolk, MA. Bluegrass on the BogsBluegrass On The Bogs has become the premier Bluegrass festival on Boston's South Shore. Some of the most talented musicians in the region gather for a weekend long festival of outstanding music, workshops, children's activities, local and organic food, artisan vendors, environmental programs, fireside jams, open mikes, Contra Dance, West African drumming, and more!

Location: Camp Kiwanee in Hanson MA. Green Schools Community Fair This Environmental Fair will be held for the Trottier Middle School, as well as the community of Southborough, which has truly embraced the idea of Going Green. The first 100 attendees will receive a FREE Planter kit from the MWRA.
