Here are just three of several programs you can choose from: Green Girls. Girls today often cover themselves with toxic makeup, skin care products, hair products, nail products, fragrances, and more. Put all of these chemicals together, and you might have a recipe for illness! Recommended for middle school and high school girls, this workshop teaches girls how to go green with their personal care product choices. Green Music. The Van Burens sing about sustainability and teach students to explore environmental issues through their music. Students work with band members to create their own unique environmentally themed performances. Eat Green, Feel Great! Examine how the food we eat can affect behavior, energy, performance at school, and of course, our ecosystem. We identify potential problems with a diet of over-processed foods, provide guidelines for healthier eating habits, and discuss the benefits of eating locally grown foods.
