Dear Friends:   Our May meeting, Dances of Universal
Peace, was
energizing and heart opening for all who came.  Thank you
Ayat!
The June meeting is Sunday, June 29, 6:30 - 9:30 PM
at the home of Adriana Ames and Steve Glanz in Novato.  Directions are
given at the end of this announcement.  Please be on time, and remember
to
bring some good snacks that we can all share.

We are delighted to
have Mali Burgess speak to our group!  Mali teaches several
classes which are unique and inspiring.  She will explore
some of these areas, with a focus on her newest passion, Self Design.
Here is her description:

SelfDesign
is a term Brent Cameron began using as a result of observing the way his
 young
daughter learned.  He subsequently founded a school that respected and
nurtured individual ways of learning.  His simple yet profound
observations
lie at the heart of learning as a living process, and
of participatory social systems.

Fundamental
to a free society is recovery from authoritarian based social systems,
and
the discovery of the freedom and peace that arise through
the deepening of awareness and presence.  Awareness and presence are
fundamental to self-reflective dialogue, creative communication, and
evolutionary transformation.

Though
evolutionary pioneers provide inspiration and guidance, developing
awareness
ultimately requires turning within. To help me deepen my own
awareness, I developed two processes - mapping and a self healing
process
- that have been transformational for me and others.  Mapping is a
visual process that transforms habitual patterns, and self healing helps
 heal
physical, emotional, and mental injuries.  I will be telling stories
from
my own life, and will choose an experiential process based on group
interest.

 Mali Burgess,
CMT PhD is a faculty member at Energy Medicine University, and a
doctoral
committee member at CIIS.  She is the founder of the Iris Institute,
an educational nonprofit organization.  Her research has involved
geometric
dynamics and the psychophysiological effects of the architecture of
space.
Her works as a visual artist have been shown and awarded nationally and
internationally.  Her Integral & Healing Arts practice is based on
participatory economic principles.  She is the author of Still,
and a graduate of Princeton University and Union Institute and
University.  Her websites are www.irisinstitute.net and

We look forward to seeing
you!    Sincerely,   Steve

RAHM
RAHM is a forum for people to share what they have learned
in their
lives, their classes, workshops, degree programs, books and other
media.
The group is structured on non-hierarchical principles.  We each share
and
contribute equally.    The purpose of RAHM is practical, with an
emphasis on healing, guidance, therapy, and personal growth.  It's not
just
a "lecture" group but is also experiential.  Topics are based on the
presenter's own background and skills - or can be something the
presenter would
like to learn more about.  There is no better way to learn something
than
to teach it!
The RAHM group (Reading And Healing Marin) meets
monthly, every 3rd or 4th Sunday or as pre-announced, and unless
otherwise
notified, roughly 6:30PM - 9:30PM.  It is important to be on time!
For directions, see below.       There will be short
breaks and light snacks.  There is no charge for RAHM meetings, but
please
bring something to share.  In some exercises, we may be lying on the
floor.  So bring pillows if you can, and dress
comfortably. ______________________________________________________   Directions
