Dear Friends:
Thank you David Kitts, Cari Alter
and Anthony Phillipson for a wonderful meeting in April, demonstrating
their Pulsed Electromagnetic Frequency healing devices. Everyone had
a chance to experience them with great results. (Someone left a black
jacket at the last meeting. If it is yours, please contact us.)
Our next meeting is Sunday, May 18, 6:30 - 9:15 PM
at the Turtle Island Yoga Center in San Anselmo. Directions are
given at the end of this announcement. Please be on time. Snacks are
not allowed at this venue. Instead, we will try to meet at a cafe of
our
choice after the event.
The theme is
"Dances of Universal
Peace." We are honored to have Ayat Kindschi to facilitate the
dances. Here is what she has to say.
From the beginning of
time, sacred phrases, chants, music, and movement have brought people
together
to celebrate the changes of seasons, life passages, and life itself. The Dances of Universal Peace are a part
of this timeless tradition of Sacred Dance. These dances
were originated over 30 years ago
by the American mystic Samuel Lewis as part of his vision of "Peace
through the
Arts." Some of the traditions represented are Hindu, Buddhist,
Zoroastrian,
Sufi, Native American, Jewish, Christian, Islamic, Goddess, Celtic, and
Universalist.
Dances of Universal
Peace promote peace and harmony within individuals and groups. There are no performers or audience in
the dances; beginning and experienced dancers form the circle together. As moving meditations or body prayers,
the Dances' essence is to reveal the unified field of all spiritual
experience.
Ayat
Kindschi is a credentialed educator and certified dance leader for the
Dances of
Universal Peace with over 100 dances in her repertoire. Ayat
leads ongoing dance circles
throughout the Bay Area. She has
also facilitated the Dances of Universal Peace at over 50 retreats in
the USA,
Australia and England. Ayat is
self-accompanied on the guitar. The dances are simple, meditative and
uplifting. No experience is necessary. All are
welcome.
We look forward
to seeing you
there!
Sincerely,
Steve

ABOUT RAHM
RAHM is a forum for people to share what they
have
learned in their lives, their classes, workshops, degree programs, books
and
other media. The group is structured on non-hierarchical principles.
We each share and contribute equally.
The purpose of RAHM is
practical, with an emphasis on healing, guidance, therapy, and personal
growth. It's not just a "lecture" group but is also experiential.
Topics are based on the presenter's own background and skills - or can
be
something the presenter would like to learn more about. There is no
better
way to learn something than to teach it!
The RAHM group
(Reading
And Healing Marin) meets monthly, every 3rd or 4th Sunday or as
pre-announced,
and unless otherwise notified, roughly 6:30PM - 9:30PM. It is important
to
be on time! For directions, see below.
There will be short breaks and light snacks. There is no
charge for RAHM meetings, but please bring something to share. In some
exercises, we may be lying on the floor. So bring pillows if you can,
and
dress
comfortably.
