Dear Friends:

February's meeting on Love and
Relationships with Tsahai Ungar was truly transformative.  Thank you
Tsahai!

Our March meeting is very special.  Richard
Feather Anderson is a world-renowned teacher of Feng Shui, Geomancy and
Sacred Geometry.

The meeting will be held on Sunday,
March 16, 6:30 - 9:30 PM at the home of Adriana Ames in Novato.
Directions
are given at the end of this announcement.  Please be on time,
and bring extra chairs or cushions.  Here is Richard's
description.

I will show you some excerpts from my slide
 show
on the Feng Shui of Entrances, as an easy way to enter into a rather
broad
subject, and give you some insights you can use immediately.  I may also
include some background information from the introductory slide show to
my
upcoming Roots of Feng Shui course (both described below).  I will
engage
you with some exercises so you can experience some of the principles and
placemaking patterns in the meeting place, and your own homes.  You
might
also be interested in the ongoing classes I offer in Santa Rosa, so the
next one
is listed below in case you want to follow up this brief introduction
with some
more in-depth learning about my unique approach to feng shui as a
natural design
tool.
"The Feng Shui of Entrances: Bringing in
 Enough Chi"
Hear Richard's unique feng shui perspective
 on the importance of
creating good entrances - into your home, your property, and every
room.
What do you see when you leave home or work, and enter the world?  Learn
why the way you enter and leave a space is as important as what you do
inside.  Feng shui remedies inside the house may not improve your life
if
the entrance is compromised.  "If the mouth is closed, chi cannot fill
the
body."  See how to create inviting and welcoming entry ways that set the
right tone for what follows.  Take a second look at your entrance and
realize how it affects your ability to open and receive supportive
energy
from the world.  Before and after pictures will dramatically demonstrate
the power of feng shui and timeless design
principles.

"The Roots of Feng Shui: Design
Principles from Nature"
When
you hear "feng shui" do you
immediately think of common sense principles for good design - based on
the laws
of Nature?  Probably not; but there really is more to Feng Shui than
hanging mirrors!  It can give you a sophisticated way to open your eyes
to
see how complex spatial dynamics (like forms and pathways) affect how
you feel
or behave in a place.  To help you reconnect Feng Shui to its organic
roots, Richard will present his comprehensive Language of Placemaking
Patterns,
a set of natural design principles distilled over the last forty years
from feng
shui, ecology, western geomancy, environmental psychology, and timeless
architecture.
With these patterns, you can create aesthetically
pleasing
and optimally functioning spaces for living and working, get everything
in the
right spot, and enhance your sense of place.  Students will increase
their
observation skills to see what others miss; understand the patterns that
 create
welcoming entrances, natural socializing spaces, functional kitchens and
offices, restful bedrooms, etc.; and learn how to analyze and improve
their own
homes.

ABOUT
RAHM
RAHM is a forum for people to share what they have learned
in their
lives, their classes, workshops, degree programs, books and other
media.
The group is structured on non-hierarchical principles.  We each share
and
contribute equally.

The purpose of RAHM is practical, with an
emphasis on healing, guidance, therapy, and personal growth.  It's not
just
a "lecture" group but is also experiential.  Topics are based on the
presenter's own background and skills - or can be something the
presenter would
like to learn more about.  There is no better way to learn something
than
to teach it!
The RAHM group (Reading And Healing Marin) meets
monthly, every 3rd or 4th Sunday or as pre-announced, and unless
otherwise
notified, roughly 6:30PM - 9:30PM.  It is important to be on time!
For directions, see below.

There will be short
breaks and light snacks.  There is no charge for RAHM meetings, but
please
bring something to share.  In some exercises, we may be lying on the
floor.  So bring pillows if you can, and dress
comfortably.
