The October
meeting on "Tarot"
with Arisa Victor was great fun! A few weeks ago, I emailed a link
to everyone, showing some amusing photographs that were taken at the
class.
Our next
meeting will be at the
home of Ilona Marshall, who will facilitate a ritual celebrating the
Winter
Solstice. Directions to Ilona's house is at the end of this
message.
Here is a
description of the
event from Ilona:
You are cordially
invited to celebrate the rebirth of the returning Sun on this Winter
Solstice.
In a ritual we will release what no longer
serves us.
Then we will explore our fertile darkness in guided meditation and
discover our guiding light for the coming
year.
Doors will open at 7PM for eating and
socializing (please
bring snacks). Announcements commence at
8:00PM. At 8:30PM, the ceremony will begin. It will continue
through the exact moment of the Solstice at 10:08PM, and end shortly
after.
It would be nice to wear something festive
that is
white or something light in color. Bring a
backjack or
cushion for sitting if needed. Optionally, you may bring a related
poem,
song or story to share, and a drum or rattle.

ABOUT RAHM
RAHM
is a
forum for people to share what they have learned in their lives, their
classes,
workshops, degree programs, books and other media. The group is
structured
on non-hierarchical principles. We each share and contribute
equally.
The purpose of
RAHM is practical,
with an emphasis on healing, guidance, therapy, and personal growth.
It's
not just a "lecture" group but is also experiential. Topics are based
on
the presenter's own background and skills - or can be something the
presenter
would like to learn more about. There is no better way to learn
something
than to teach it!
The RAHM group (Reading And Healing Marin)
meets
monthly, every 3rd or 4th Sunday or as pre-announced, and unless
otherwise
notified, roughly 6:30PM - 9:30PM. It is important to be on time!

There will be short
breaks and light snacks. There is no charge for RAHM meetings, but
please
bring something to share. In some exercises, we may be lying on the
floor. So bring pillows if you can, and dress comfortably.
