LECTURE:
The meanings we make about our experience, about what we want and what we resist, about what we approve and what we judge, are as individual-and as thoroughly unique-as each of us is. After all, no two maps of personhood and life will ever be the same. However, although we are all unquestionably unique, we are actually unique in exactly the same ways. Our "identical uniqueness" lies not in what we think, but in how we do it-how we each process the unconscious pictures, sounds, and feelings that our minds use to imagine and then stabilize our experience of ourselves and of life itself.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming has been developing since the middle 1970s. It is often described as "the study of the structure-rather than the content-of how humans create experience." Even a little familiarity with the NLP toolbox helps to vastly demystify the "how to's" of releasing the past and then reaching for a better feeling and belief in the present and future.
WORKSHOP:
In this approximately two-hour workshop, Carl will introduce information and practical tools that can be applied immediately. Carl will be covering:
- The correct way to think about what you want
- How to organize the past so that you can put it behind you
- How to organize positive futures that can (literally) be looked forward to
- How to treat and pray in a "timely" way
- How to invite your brain to behave itself
The presentation will include some lecture, some demonstrations, and lots of direct practice with the new perceptions and tools. And, Carl loves questions.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Carl Buchheit, M.A. is Co-Founder of NLP Marin, founded in 1993. Carl trains from the heart, backed with a brilliant intellect, insatiable curiosity, and unconventional humor. The result is a fun-filled learning experience where all aspects of the students and their lives are welcomed and included. He challenges his students to explore themselves, the world, and life in a way that respects and uplifts everyone.
Carl has been involved in NLP for nearly 25 years. He is certainly one of the finest practitioners of NLP in the world, and quite possibly the busiest. At the beginning of his career Carl trained with Leslie Cameron-Bandler, the co-developer of NLP who was acknowledged for having added heart to the newly evolving technology of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Carl's main early influence was the mentoring of Jonathan Rice, PhD, a clinical psychologist who was the first to include the methods, techniques, and tools of NLP within a larger professional perspective.
Carl has been a practitioner and teacher of NLP for more than thirty years. He is noted for his extensions of what he calls "conventional NLP" into domains that are mystical and holographic. He has been a consultant to the ministerial and administrative staffs at several Science of Mind and New Thought churches.
Carl continues to learn, and integrate what he learns, from everyone he encounters. His ongoing, intense private practice with clients keeps what he presents fresh and alive. The website for NLP Marin is http://www.nlpmarin.com

ABOUT RAHM
RAHM stands for "Resources for Awakening Hearts and Minds"
RAHM is a forum for people to share what they have learned. Meetings are designed to be experiential. These "mini-workshops" are based on the presenter's expertise. Topics on healing, guidance, development, the paranormal, metaphysical, and spiritual are emphasized.
RAHM meets monthly, usually every 3rd or 4th Sunday at 6:30PM - 9:30PM.
