Will There Be Corn? Will sweet, local corn be ready for your Fourth of July barbecue? "Maybe, if the weather's just right," says Doug
Davenport. "This week, next week - it's almost ready." As always, there will be plenty of fresh, local produce,
meats, cheeses, wines, breads and baked goods, honey, and maple syrup.

Meet the Farmer: Diane Carlson, Greene Earth After raising four children - the youngest are now in their teens - Diane Carlson decided backyard gardening wasn't quite enough. In 2008, she and her husband bought 200 acres in Greene County and took a course offered by the NY Beginning Farmer Project. They started with asparagus and raspberries, and were certified as an organic farm. Now, with the help of daughters Katie and Rebecca, they're raising a wide variety of vegetables and experimenting with maple syrup. The Saugerties Farmers Market is Diane's main market outlet, but if you miss a market day, she's happy to sell from the farm.
