What You Have To Give

"For you have heard my vows, O God.  You have given an inheritance reserved for those who fear your name".

Rachel's Challenge

We are very excited to announce a character development / anti bullying program was hosted today at Ave Maria Catholic School. Rachel Scott's story called Rachel's Challenge will be shared at Ave Maria this evening October 24th, in Brownstein Hall at 7 PM. Different versions that are age appropriate for the K-8 students were presented during the day.

Rachel Joy Scott was the first person killed at Columbine High School in 1999. Her acts of kindness and the contents of her 6 journals are the basis for the message shared in schools and communities around the world. If you would like to learn more about Rachel's Challenge feel free to go to www.rachelschallenge.org to get more informed.

Parents of Ave Maria Middle School students are especially invited to attend (and feel free to invite any other friends and family) for the community message at 7 PM on the 24th. Hope you can make it! It is a story we promise you will not soon forget about a girl who believed she could change the world by showing compassion to people she met everyday.

Coats for Colorado

The Ave Maria Catholic School Student Council will be collecting "Coats for Colorado" this week.  Please send in outgrown and gently used coats for our first service project of the year.  There will be a basket in the front entrance of the school to donate coats and Student Council members will be available to collect during morning carline.

Middle School Concert

The middle school Jazz Ensemble and Young Women's Choir will be presenting their concert Thursday, October 27th, with three performance times: 10:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. in Brownstein Hall. Hope to see you there.

1st Annual Children's Gala on Friday, November 11, from 12-2 pm in Parish Life Center Gymnasium

The 1st Annual Children's Gala will provide children with the opportunity to buy tickets (we will pre-sale tickets) and to use these tickets to "bid" for their favorite items. The more tickets they buy, the better the chance to win! Tickets will be placed in the bucket in front of the prize and drawings for winners will be held towards the end of the event (don't need to be present). Tickets are also good for the purchase of lunch. To round out the event, we will also have fun game stations where the children will have a chance to win prizes. This will be an event not to miss! (Parents - you must attend this event with your child(ren)).
