Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to the Volunteer of the Month for August 2011!

YOLANDA DOCTER

Thank you for all the work you do for our children!

Every month (Aug-May) we will be awarding a $25 gift card to one lucky Ave Maria School volunteer.  The drawing will be done at random for all those who volunteered during the previous month. To qualify, you must have your hours entered into PTO manager for the dates you volunteered.  All volunteers with hours for the month qualify, whether you volunteered time in the school, or donated items for an event; just make sure you have your hours logged in PTO Manager by the end of each month.

Lunch Reminder

Friday night at midnight is the deadline for ordering lunches from our new lunch program at Ave Maria. We are so fortunate to have Whole Foods chefs making our lunches fresh each day for our kids and our staff. These affordable lunches cost the same as if you had bought high quality product and made them yourselves, and there are no delivery charges.

We know that children who eat better foods - less processed, less additives, and more real food - get better grades, have less behavior problems, and do better in sports.

If you haven't already, join now - there is no obligation - and take a look at the variety of options you have to choose from!

And remember, a portion of the revenue goes back to Ave Maria School. So place your order NOW for next week!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Exciting news...we began to use parts of our new building today!

  • Students began to eat lunch in our new cafeteria.  It was a little crowded at the new tables so we ordered a few more.  We should receive them over the next few weeks.  In the meantime, we will use some spare tables and chairs.
  • We also began using the west entrance to the new building for 5-8 graders entering the school in the morning-this should help with morning carline as students now have access to the second floor from that entrance.  However, parents must still come through the north entrance when entering the school to check in with the office.
  • We anticipate that the gym and the fields will be ready to use sometime in early October.  I will keep you posted!

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Terri
