God in You
"It was your enthusiasm that stirred up many of them to begin helping."
2 Corinthians 9:2
People are attracted to enthusiasm. When God is in your life, you know He is working in everything you do, you can't help but be enthusiastic. |

Carline
- Please remember to utilize both lanes for morning drop off. Many parents are dropping off in the back which is slowing traffic in the left lane and prolonging drop off. ALL grades, kindergarten through 8th, can be dropped off in either the front or back drop off areas.
- The rear east parking lot near the athletic fields is for parish and staff parking ONLY. Middle school students may NOT be picked up in this area during afternoon carline. As always, pick up for middle school students during afternoon carline is in the front of the church.
- Please be alert to possible changes in carline once the new building is open for school use. We will post any possible new changes if needed.

Black Dress shoes for boys for Mass and non-Mass days: Shoes need to be all black dress leather ONLY-closed-in shoe, NO NAP, NO SUEDE, NO ATHLETIC SHOES, NO BOOTS
Black Dress shoes for girls for Mass and non-Mass days: Shoes need to be 1" heels or less, very small ornamentation will be allowed- Black leather or black patent ONLY - closed-in shoe, NO NAP, NO SUEDE, NO ATHLETIC SHOES, NO BOOTS
Gym Shoes for boys and girls for P.E. Classes: Athletic, ALL white, non-marking soles, white shoelaces. A reminder that gym shoes MUST BE ALL WHITE!
Please refer to the Uniform Guidelines for more details (also available in Digital Locker of TeacerEase). The uniform guidelines were revised last May and distributed to parents as part of the summer packet.
The reason we have returned to the All White gym shoes is because when we allowed a change a few years ago for gym shoes to be "mostly" white instead of "all" white, it simply didn't work. Parents and students began to stretch the limit of what constitutes "mostly white." As a result, gym shoes evolved into a look which included more non-conforming styles and colors.
Our policy reflects the spirit of Ave Maria Catholic School. Uniforms and dress code guidelines are adopted by schools and other organizations (military, police, etc.) to reinforce identity representing one community. Research also says that uniforms help instill students with discipline, help parents and students resist peer pressure, and help students concentrate on their school work.
Although, we have been flexible these first few weeks of school allowing time for parents and students to correct any infringements, we will begin issuing uniform violation forms beginning Tuesday, September 6th.

Dedication of the New Parish Life Center
Please Reserve the Date:
It is with great joy that we would ask you to reserve the date of the Nativity of Our Blessed Virgin Mary, September 8, 2011 to be with us as we celebrate the Dedication of our New Parish Life Center.
The Dedication will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. with our pastor, Reverend August L. Stewart as our main celebrant. Because of Father Don Brownstein's many years of service to Ave Maria Parish we will be dedicating the new social hall in his honor as Father Brownstein Hall.
Following the Dedication hors d'oeuvres will be served at various stations around the Parish Life Center for you to enjoy.
