"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin..."

Zechariah 4:10

Dear God,
Let this year be filled with a sharing of our gifts.  O God of love, let the simple gestures we perform everyday be filled with love.  May we recognize all that we are, and work to do our best.  We ask for the desire and strength to do all we can together and be there for one another, so that this school year can be a fantastic one.  Amen!

Gold Fundraiser for 8th grade D.C. Trip

Volunteers will be collecting gold during afternoon pick up in order to raise money for the 8th grade Washington D.C. trip.  If dropping your gold, make sure you inventory and list your items.  Secure  them with your name, day-time phone number and email and we will contact you with the dollar amount.  We cannot take your items if you have not properly listed or labeled them.  A sturdy baggie or envelope works well, just make sure the gold will not fall out.

Thank you for helping our 8th graders get to D.C.  If you have any questions
contact  Margaret Raitt at 720-272-6390.

Box Tops for Education

It's time to start the classroom race for label and box tops!

Hopefully you have a lot stored up for the summer... we are

ready to count them!  Please be sure to put your child's class # on

the bag so we can apply the credit accordingly.  You can help your

child win the Grand Prize and "Box Top Bottletop" necklaces for the 2011-2012 school year!  Simply send in collected items with your child and they can turn in to their teacher or drop them off in the Box top collection receptacle located in the main hallway of our

school.

For those of you who would like to volunteer or have already signed up for helping out on the Box Top Committee... please join us for a "how to" meeting on Tuesday, August 30th, at 8:00 am (after drop off) in the library . . . earn easy volunteer hours at home!  Contact Sophia Wilson for more information.

Dear AMCS Parents and Guardians,

Look for most communication to come home electronically, in the form of messages from Teacherease, PTO Manager, and The Weekly Herald, which is typically sent out early in the week.  Additional information is also available on our website:  www.aveangels.org.  I hope you all had a wonderful summer break and welcome back to the new school year!

Sincerely yours in Christ,
