PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Audrey Dupree-Sealey, PhD, FNP, RN
|
The NYSCENA train pulled into Saratoga Springs on April 18, 2012 for the Setting the Pace annual conference.
The conference was a great success! It was great to see all our old friends, but what was especially nice was the amount of new attendee's that came on board this year.
Of course this could not have happened without the tireless efforts of our conference committee, led by Kathy Conboy. A big shout of thanks goes out to the vendors, who continuously support NYSCENA's conferences.
Also let us not forget the local chapter's who generously donate so many terrific items for the raffle.
In closing it was an exciting ride, the momentum created by the speakers and the attendees is what powers the NYSCENA train.
All aboard!!!

Exhibitors
|
This year we had a wonderful show of support from our Exhibitors both new and old! I want to take a moment to thank the Exhibitors below for their support of the NYS ENA. In addition to these amazing Exhibitors we are very grateful for the donations from some of our NYS chapters.

Annual Basket Raffle by Mickey Forness
| At the recent Setting the Pace Conference in Saratoga the annual basket raffle was once again a wonderful success. The proceeds are donated to the Emergency Nurses Foundation to sponsor the 9/11 Scholarship which is awarded to a pre-hospital/rescue worker, who is pursuing a career as a registered nurse.
|
New York Achievement Award
| Each year the National organization of ENA recognizes state councils who implement a diverse strategic plan. For 2011, New York State demonstrated many of the criteria used to bestow this honor. Some of the criteria include a well run and organized Council.
|
Leadership Forum
| The 2012 Leadership forum at Setting the Pace attracted a diverse and very enthusiastic group of attendees.
|
