Recently, many areas in Northern Utah experienced freezing temperatures which damaged many corn fields. The severity of damage to a corn plant from frost primarily depends on temperature, duration of temperature, and corn growth stage.
Most producers are familiar with the term "risk management" This term can also be used with regards to animal health. Preventing animal health problems involves proper animal husbandry, adequate nutrition, and the strategic use of vaccinations.
Blue Creek Dryland Field Day
Mark your calendar for the Blue Creek Dryland Field day which will be held June 26th from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Blue Creek Experimental farm. Lunch will be provided.
Take I-84 to Exit 24 in Box Elder County then North 7 miles. The farm is on the east side of the road.
