Photo courtesy of the Davis Clipper Chevron and Target were the largest donors to the Davis County Gala, donating $10,000 each.
The Davis County Gala held last fall raised over more than $33,000 to help support after school programs for children in Davis County. More than 700 people attended the Layton event including many city, county and school leaders. The event's theme, "Glitz and Glam," brought many to the event dressed up as people from old Hollywood.
After school programs offered through 4-H are very diverse and include topics such as cooking, sewing and robotics.
"This was such a great opportunity for the Davis County Extension office," said Rachel Rudd, Davis County 4-H Extension agent. "I think the relationships and opportunities to educate the community about what we do in Davis County were the real bonuses here, even more than the money."
