Common Weed Guidebook

Some weeds are toxic, invasive and/or noxious. Some are not aesthetically pleasing, but are otherwise benign.  But one thing is true for all kinds of weeds: You can't control them well until you know which ones you're fighting.  The new USU Extension weed guide will help you identify the weeds in your landscape and garden and supplying enough information about how to control or get rid of them.  Fifty common weeds are featured in the guidebook, including pictures and descriptions.  To access the weed guidebook, click here

Visit the Gardens

Now that our wet and cold spring has come to an end the flowers are blooming, the trees are growing, and the weather is warming at the gardens. This is a great time of the year to walk through an arboretum, enjoy the aroma of our rose collections and beautiful perennial gardens, take a hike around the UBC ponds or explore the OBG cottage garden.

Budding Workshop

Come and learn the science and art of propagation by budding on July 16.  Dr. Larry Rupp, USU Horticulture Specialist, will provide hands-on instruction.  You are guaranteed to walk away with more than just an increased knowledge.
