Extension Welcomes Justin Elsner

Justin Elsner is the new Bear River Watershed Coordinator for Utah State University Extension, with the responsibility of coordinating and facilitating watershed improvement activities in the Bear River watershed within Cache and Box Elder counties. Through a cooperative agreement between Utah State University Extension and the Utah Division of Water Quality, he will be working closely with USU Extension, the Division of Water Quality, NRCS, UACD and other agencies to provide support and assistance on various water quality improvement projects.
Justin is a recent graduate from Utah State University and holds a bachelor's degree in Watershed and Earth Systems from the College of Natural Resources. Originally from Fresno, California, within the San Joaquin Valley, Justin has lived in Utah since 1998. He currently resides in Smithfield with Mara, his wife of 10 years, and their 5-year-old son Landon. Together they are thrilled with this opportunity and look forward to putting down deep roots within the rich soil of the Cache Valley. Justin looks forward to doing anything he can to make a difference within his community and anticipates serving the people and resources of the Bear River watershed.
