Extension Welcomes Katie Wagner

Katie Wagner grew up in Lexington, KY, among a family of gardeners. She carried her love of gardening into her studies at the University of Kentucky where she received a bachelor of science degree in environmental science and policy and a master's of science degree in plant and soil sciences. After graduating from the University of Kentucky, Katie moved to Salt Lake City in August 2006 and began working for several local horticultural businesses. She graduated with a bachelor of science degree in ornamental horticulture through the Utah State University Distance Learning Program in May 2009. After graduation, Katie worked as a self-employed landscape designer. As the new Salt Lake County Extension horticultural assistant, Katie is excited to work with Extension staff and with Salt Lake County residents answering questions about gardening.
