Friends of the Garden Tour Mt. Timpanogos

Cascade Springs, Timpanooke trailhead, and Thanksgiving Point Gardens, all located in Utah County, ignited every sense during this year's Friends of the Garden Wildflower Tour. Members located and identified more than 40 individual wildflowers and plant species. A tour and delicious lunch at Thanksgiving Point Gardens capped the day. Plans are already under way to make Wildflower Tour 2011 the best yet (think Tetons, an alpine meadow, and dinner at Bar J)!

Garden Fair to Benefit Ornamental Grass Garden

Do you know what rattlesnake grass sounds like? Have you touched the fuzzy seedhead of fountain grass? Have you  stood next to a twelve foot hardy pampas grass?  If not, let us help you experience this at our future ornamental grass garden, which will feature hundreds of stimulating grasses and a labyrinth to walk.

Garden Fair


The 2010 Garden Fair celebrates six years at the Utah Botanical Center. The annual event is scheduled for Saturday, August 21, from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. The plant sale, which features beautiful and interesting plants well suited for Utah landscapes, is located  next to the Rasmussen Teaching Garden at the Greenhouse Complex (click for map). UBC staff members will be available to answer questions and offer advice on plant selections.
