Our tasting line-up:
2009 Evening Land Bourgogne Blanc
Made from several villages in the famous Burgundy region, the Evening Land Bourgogne Blanc is a GREAT value. White flowers dominate the nose while a beautiful and vibrant minerality graces your palate. Surprisingly complex for a basic Bourgogne; perfect as an aperitif or with lighter dishes.
Bottle: $27.99 - Case: $285.50
2006 Fiddlehead Cellars Pinot Noir Cuvee 728
Located in the heart of the Santa Rita Hill, Fiddlestix Vineyard is the confluence of an exceptional growing environment that meets the finicky demands of Pinot Noir. The 2006 has a luring and complex aroma of cherry cola and vanilla oak; hints of white pepper are elegantly balanced by a smooth finish. DE-LISH!
Bottle: $38.99 - Case: $397.70
2007 Prunatto Mompertone Monferrato
The 2007 Monferrato Mompertone (60% Barbera, 40% Syrah) is a juicy, rewarding wine. Richly textured and packed with jammy dark fruits, herbs, tar, smoke and minerals; terrific now but can be cellared for the next 5-6 years. This French oak-aged blend of Barbera and Syrah is in just its third vintage, but the combination undoubtedly works here!
Bottle: $24.99 - Case: $254.90
