It's hot out there!!! Why not come into the cool?
We have a line up of perfect summer heat busters. I tasted a white from Sicily last week that is refreshingly delicious and tasty. It was really good, and a real crowd pleaser at $12.99. We also have an Italian Rosé to beat this heat. Next on our list is the King of Napa, Cabernet! As always, great with a steak, barbecue, or to sit and enjoy.

FRIDAY'S TASTING:
2009 Case Ibidini Insolia
$12.99 a bottle, $132.50 a case, or $11.04 a
bottle as part of a mixed case.
Made from 100% Inzolia, these native Sicilian grapes were aged 4 months in stainless steel tanks, following 2-3 months ageing in bottle. Its color is a deep yellow, with aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits and wild roses. It is refreshing and dry, with well-balanced acidity. Recommended with appetizers, or fish, seafood, and vegetable dishes. Wait to you taste!
2009 Pasquale Pelissero Crosé Rosato Barbaresco Nebbiolo
$19.99 a bottle, $203.90 a case, or $16.99 a bottle as part of a mixed case.
Pasquale Pelissero is a tiny, family-owned winery started in a garage by "Papa" Pasquale, one of the first producers in Neive to bottle and sell his own wines. The vineyards are truly a treasure and are often visited by other producers from the area. Pelissero takes great pride in their rosato, produced from the very best selection of Nebbiolo grown in their vineyards. The grapes are harvested by hand and pressed immediately. The must remains in contact with the skins for 24 hours and then goes into cold fermentation in stainless steel. With a gorgeous pale pink hue, this wine features fresh strawberry and cherry with slight grassy notes on the bouquet. On the palate, it is very fresh, echoing the delicate strawberry and cherry on the nose, finishing clean, persistent and ethereal with hints of mint.
2006 Vinifera Vineyards Vitis
$29.99 a bottle, $305.90 a case, or $25.50 a bottle as part of a mixed case.
The 2006 vintage of Vinifera Vineyards "Vitis" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits notes of white chocolate, bay leaf, tobacco and sweet tannins combined with fresh blue and black fruits. This wine is incredibly rich and multi-layered, and has a finish that stays on the palate for several minutes. On the nose, this wine tells a story of Rutherford dust, and intensity not found in anything at this price point.
