Leth's Roter Veltliner Scheiben Vineyard 2007 is an exceptional example of this ancient variety. Roter Veltliner is grown only in the Wagram hillsides and in very small quantities, making it an extremely rare wine. Owner and winemaker Franz Leth uses a rigorous selection process, including numerous green harvests and further cluster selection in the winery. The 2007 shows subtle aromas of almonds, hazelnuts and orange blossoms, with a lush texture and full-body. Gains in depth and complexity with cellaring time. There are vintages dating back to the mid-70's in Leth's cellars that are still drinking well.

a very pretty wine laced with perfumed red
fruit. Lots of intensity up front, the Bricco remains a very traditional style
of Dolcetto. The sheer vibrancy of the fruit of this vintage helps balance
some of the more rustic elements that are present. This is a very
beautiful vintage for the Bricco. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2013.
