CLOS SAINT JEAN CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE VIEILLES VIGNES $59.99 a bottle, $611.90 for a case, or $50.99 bottle as part of a mixed case.
The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes, ratchets up the level of succulence, juiciness, and opulence. It is a fabulous, compelling effort of multiple dimensions. Classic aromas and flavors of licorice, kirsch liqueur, balsam wood, and lavender are found in this enormously full-bodied wine along with unreal concentration and perfect balance. This astonishing effort should drink well for 20+ years." 96

MOMO SAUVIGNON BLANC 2009 $19.99 a
bottle, $203.90 for a case, or $16.99 a bottle as part of a mixed case
Light and citrusy, with grapefruit, tangerine and green melon flavors that linger on the bright, juicy finish. Momo Sauvignon Blanc is made from a blend of fruit from vineyards located on the plains of the Wairau Valley of Marlborough. The grapes were picked in the late evening and early morning to ensure the fruit was cool when it reached the winery. The palate has depth and complexity with a hint of minerality. Delicious with all types of seafood and summer salads, or just by itself as a refreshing aperitif. I like this wine's purity and dusty texture. 90 points Wine

FOSCARIN SLAVINUS SOAVE SUPERIORE CLASSICO 2005 $22.99 a bottle, $234.50 for a case, or $19.54 a bottle as part of a mixed case
The steep slopes of Monte Foscarino are of volcanic origin and provide the vineyards with excellent exposure to the sun. It's unique microclimate produces the exceptionally high quality grapes used to make the Soave Superior DOCG Classico "Foscarin Slavinus". Further, the vineyards are pruned by 40% to obtain the best quality. After hand-picking, the grapes undergo soft pressing and maceration with the skins for 24 hours at 5°C. Fermentation lasts for at least 36 hours, after which the wine is slowly poured from the tap and finishes fermentation in large 50 hl tonneau. The wine matures in stainless steel tanks for about 1 year and ages in bottles 3 months before going onto the market. This is a real beauty that cannot be missed! Baa Baa Oink, Oink!

MENDEL MALBEC 2007 $32.99 a bottle, $336.50 for a case, or $28.04 a bottle as part of a mixed case
Mendel's 2007 Malbec was sourced from a 45-acre parcel of 80-year-old vines in Lujan de Cuyo and aged for 12 months in French oak. Purple-colored, it displays an alluring bouquet of cedar, spice box, violets, and black cherry. Medium-bodied and elegant on the palate, it has plenty of savory fruit, cinnamon and allspice notes, excellent depth and concentration, and a fruit-filled finish. This stylish effort will evolve for 2-3 years and deliver prime drinking from 2011 to 2019.
