DOMAINE REVERDY HIPPOLYTE SANCERRE 2008 $28.99 a bottle, $295.70 for a case, or $24.65 bottle as part of a mixed case.
Lemon, pineapple, gooseberry, and white pepper rise from the glass of Hippolyte Reverdy's 2008 Sancerre. In the mouth, this relatively light, brashly citric Sauvignon also reveals notes of black currant and sage, along with salt and chalk. There is an impressive amount of sheer energy on display here, and a mouth-watering and ultimately mouth-scouring intensity. But this will definitely hold most appeal for those who relish their Sancerre on the lean side, and its gripping finish harbors considerable citrus zest and citrus pip bitterness. It will be worth following for at least the next 18-24 months, and may well calm down and display a bit of richness after bottling. Sounds great doesn't it?

QUINTA DO VALLADO 2007 RED $24.99 a bottle, $254.90 for a case, or $21.24 a bottle as part of a mixed case
The 2007 Tinto is a Douro blend. This wine has a hidden advantage in that a significant portion of its blend is an old vines field blend from 70 year old vines. The young vines portion includes Touriga Franca (25%), Tinta Roriz (20%), Touriga Nacional (20%), Tinta Amarela (5%) and Sousao (3%). Wines from this estate are always on the more elegant side, it has fine structure and complexity, a certain earthy nuance and some brightness. It is gripping on the finish and should develop a medley of flavors as it ages. It is yet another in the string of regular or second wines in this vintage that perform particularly well at excellent price points. Drink now-2017. "

DOMAINE A. ET P DE VILLAINE LA FORTUNE 2008 $34.99 a bottle, $356.90 for a case, or $29.74 a bottle as part of a mixed case
As we all know De Villaine is the co-proprietor and co-director of Domaine Romanee Conti. He lives in the Cote Chalonnaise and has produced this phenomenal wine. It is 100% Organic as we expected. It is gourmand in character, is straight and concentrated. The tannins are ripe and elegant with a rich expression of red fruits. Could it be, a baby DRC at a baby price?

DUCKHORN DECOY CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2007 $29.99 a bottle, $305.89 for a case, or $25.49 a bottle as part of a mixed case
This
appealing Napa Valley wine highlights the complexity of the Cabernet
Sauvignon varietal. Since 1978, Duckhorn Vineyards has been producing
Cabernet Sauvignon that embodies the diversity of Napa Valley
winegrowing and offers classic Cabernet elements of currant, cherry,
plum and olive.
RAFEAL PALACIOS LOURO GODELLO BLANCO 2008 $22.99 a bottle, $234.50 a case, or $19.54 a bottle in a mixed case.
Made from 100% Godello harvested from both of Rafael's estate vineyards, as well as some purchased fruit from neighboring growers. The grapes were grown on 12-32 year old vines in sandy soils that were created as the granite sub-stratum degraded over centuries. The wine was aged for 8 months in foudre. This wine is gorgeous and is perfect for the new Spring season!
VELENOSI IL BRECCIAROLO 2006 $19.99 a bottle, $203.89 for a case, or $16.99 a bottle as part of a mixed case
Il
Brecciarolo [Eel breTCH ee R o low] refers to the broken stones typical
of the soils in this area. The heartiness of the Montepulciano
dominates while the Sangiovese lifts the aromatics and brightens the
wine. It has a lovely soft palate, with tannins that give the wine
structure, but are so soft and refined they almost feel creamy, while
great acidity follows through the finish.
