Friday's Tastings:
Domaine de la Pépière Muscadet Granite de Clisson 2007
$27.99 a bottle, $285.48 for a case, or $23.79 a bottle as part of a mixed case

94 Points, The 2007 Granit de Clisson is a great young bottle of Muscadet. The bouquet is deep and superb, as it offers up a complex mélange of gentle leesy tones, wet stones, lemon, grapefruit and a distinctly saline topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full, crisp and laser-like in its focus, with a rock solid core of fruit, bright, tensile acids and superb length and grip on the snappy finish. Just a stellar bottle. 2009-2025+.
Gesellmann Pinot Noir 2004
$29.99 a bottle, $305.88 for a case, or $25.49 a bottle as part of a mixed case

Medium carmine-garne, light edges; slightly mineral in the nose, with ripe strawberries and cherries, some orange zest. Fine residual sugars on the palate, slight vegetal nuances, more red berries in the finish, charming, already very drinkable.
2008, Brookman Wines, McLaren Vale Silv's Block Shiraz
$22.99 a bottle, $234.50 for a case, or $19.54 a bottle as part of a mixed case

This wine is a blockbuster, juicy red, and delicious. Lots of body, ruby color, showing a classic example of McLaren Vale Shiraz flavors. 100% Estate grown. Fruit driven quality is enhanced by American and French oak, to satisfy wine lovers early enjoyment of this wine.  Further ageing will allow for fruit complexity.  Red and Blackberry spectrum, floral nose.  A fine wine to compliment any food style.

Domaine Savary Chablis Premiere
Cru Fourchaumes 2007

$32.99 a bottle, $336.48 a case,
or $28.04 a bottle in a mixed case.

A fantastic Chablis.... this is a Premier
Cru at a great price.  The wine is
elegant and will continue to improve over the next several years.  Richly aromatic with citrus, stone fruits,
and lemon blossom. Flavors on the palate mirror the nose. Complex,
with good concentration, and
very limited!

Obsidian Ridge
Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
$29.99 a bottle, $305.88 for a case, or $25.49 a bottle as part of a mixed case

A bold aromatic expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. The bouquet is filled with spices of bay, clove and anise amidst a core of red cherries, dried cranberries
and ripe red plums. With each sip we're reminded of the terroir at Obsidian Ridge. This is a rich and densely structured wine and it maintains appropriate acidity that carries forth the flavors of dark cherries finishing with espresso beans coated in dark chocolate. This is undeniably mountain Cabernet with ample tannin to secure its longevity for ten or even fifteen years.
