Family!
Greetings!
Ahhhhhh.....family what a beautiful word. Why is it that we can be kind and thoughtful
to a perfect stranger and when it comes to our families we have difficulties
sometimes. Maybe, because we do not want
our loved ones to make the same mistakes we have made, to endure some of the
hardships or struggles we have encountered. or just because we have seen it
before. This time of year with Easter
just passed and Mothers day upon us it is time to celebrate family. To remember all the good memories and start
creating new ones. Speaking of family....I know I have talked about my parents in
past issues, but I have not talked about my three brothers much... you know the
ones who tortured me as a small child (ha ha..just kidding), I guess I should thank them now for helping
me grow up tough. From crashing the mini
bikes, learning how to caponize chickens, driving tractors and so many other
wonderful stories. Today they continue
to encourage me and help me...sort of taking the place of our father who passed
away many years ago.... My oldest brother Scot has his own painting and remodeling
business and lives in Carmel...he has a wonderful wife Julie and their 6 awesome kids, it is great they
are so close. I have always admired Scot, because of his strong faith and love
for the Lord. My second brother Jon lives on the family farm in Delphi, Jon
continues to carry on our Dads legacy and farm the land that our family has had
for generations. Jon is the father of
two beautiful girls, he is a grandpa and his youngest daughter is getting
married this summer. Jon is so smart, a
CPA by trade and now runs the farm... he is encouraging, wise and is always there
to help me in financial matters and support. The baby of the family, David. Moved his family to Westfield just over 2 years ago. David is a Podiatrist, he opened Westfield
Foot and Ankle in July of 2008 with his amazing wife Leah. They have a three year old son who is the
life of any party..we love him so much. David is a constant support for me and
listens to me ramble at times I am sure he has better things to do...I know he
would do anything for me.. So there you have it... family is made up of all kinds of
people, different personalities and goals, but if we keep in mind the love and
memories we can make it through anything. I love you guys.
