Celebrate our Sixth Anniversary at Kelties!

Happy Birthday KeltiesWhere does the time go?  I guess at my age birthdays are not that exciting... but celebrating our  6th  anniversary here in Westfield is really pretty amazing... Thanks again to all of you for your constant support and friendship.  
 
As part of our month long celebration we will be offering $6 martinis. Check out some of Martina's latest creations Harvest Moon, Kelties Passion just to mention a few... come try them all! On Wednesday and Thursday evenings dine in between the hours of 5 and 6 and receive half off appetizers... And on Sunday Brunch bring a party of 6 or more and the 6th person is free.... Do you see a trend here?  Enjoy all these special promotions now until October 31st.

I also wanted to take a minute and thank the hundreds of you who filled out our on-line survey last month.  I was brought to tears. (of happiness) Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your compliments of our food and service.  Martina and Kim our restaurant managers, are working hard on service and atmosphere in order to make your dining experience memorable. My awesome kitchen crew Tonda, Julie, Mel, Toby and Chris are so creative and conscience of every meal.   Thank you to all who took the time to share with us your comments.  We appreciate it!
 
One thing that we noticed in our survey was that not many of you have used us for catering.  We would love to help you with any of your catering needs, be it a business luncheon, family barbecue or special multi course wedding celebration. 

I am honored to announce Kathy Campbell as our new Catering Director.  Kathy recently left Conner Prairie as their catering director and I cannot tell you how inspired I am by her.  Catering has always been my passion and when I talk with Kathy it is her passion too.. so be watching for some exciting things from our catering department.

Welcome to Our New Catering Director, Kathy Campbell!
Kathy Campbell has joined Kelties as the new Catering Director.  Kathy has been in the hospitality business for years and has been in catering sales at Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta, GA and most recently at Conner Prairie in Fishers, IN where her focus was on the social market and weddings.

Kathy and her husband Tom and their two children, Grace and Nick, live in Westfield.  When Kathy was asked recently "Why Kelties?" she replied "I am so excited to be here.  Keltie has such a great reputation in Hamilton County and I think her business, both the restaurant and catering are growing so fast-and I want to be a part of it."

Baking Tip of the Month
Decadent Chocolate Curls
For chocolate curls, warm a block of chocolate in your microwave on HIGH (100% power) for five to ten seconds. Make chocolate curls by holding a sharp vegetable peeler against the flat side of a chocolate block, bringing the blade toward you. Apply firm pressure for thicker, more open curls; or light pressure for thinner, tighter curls.

Arts and cultural festival located in downtown Westfield (Union and Penn St.)  This is the second year for this event and promises to be bigger and better than ever with all kinds of food and live entertainment including artists from across the country.  Come sample some of Kelties bread pudding and butternut squash soup in the food area tent as well as fabulous food and drink from many local restaurants.  We hope to see you this Saturday!
