Welcome to the new edition of Quidoo's Red Beans & Rice.  We have a fresh new look with the same commitment to providing the latest nonprofit news and tools to maximize your impact.

This new edition is packed with sector updates.  We are moving further away from business as usual, as there are new ways to network and raise funds, using tools many of us have been using while not yet maximizing their potential.  We'll also take a high level look at foundational giving and where large scale philanthropy is focusing its efforts. Meanwhile, last month  Diana Aviv, president of Independent Sector; Roger Colinvaux, an associate law professor at the Catholic University of America;  Joanne DeStefano, vice president for finance at Cornell University, on behalf of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), among others, testified at a Congressional hearing to examine the IRS oversight of Nonprofit tax issues, more to follow on this.

CompassPoint and the Evelyn & Walter Haas Jr. Fund are conducting a national research project and need your help. If you are a Development Director or an Executive Director, please click on the link to take a survey on the left panel of this newsletter.  Thanks for your valuable input!

To top it all off, we have several fantastic funding and career opportunities for you and your networks.

Summer is here - enjoy Quidoo's latest!
