Cuidiu Note

We are seeing modest increases in our national economy as indicated by the recent unemployment numbers.  However this news not only underplays some of the real issues with job growth it also underplays the reality in our sector - a reality in which most nonprofits will continue to see increase in demand for their services in 2011 with ongoing challenges garnering the financial support needed to meet this increase in demand.  And isn't it ironic that a sector that is in the business of helping those in need does not go to bat to support its fellow nonprofits as they feel the dramatic effects of the "new normal".  This lack of support deeply frustrates us - maybe we need to provide leaders in the sector a framework on how they can support each other while also supporting those they serve.  We would love your thoughts.
